UNC athletics deletes Pride Month post, cites UNC System Equality Policy

Administrative social media runs afoul of the UNC System institutional neutrality policy.
A June 1 social media post from UNC athletics’ X account showed the state of North Carolina with a rainbow argyle pattern running through it. The caption read “The Tar Heels are for everyone” with a ram emoji.
The post has since been deleted.

The UNC Alumni Free Speech Alliance, Inc. is a North Carolina Corporation that has been granted designation as a nonprofit, 501(c)(3).
